On His Word is an educational trumpet trio that applies the chromatic scale in a musical, ensemble setting. This application of the chromatic scale is important to the trumpet student’s development. The application of the chromatic scale in this sort of context is an important part of the learning process. In my three stage system of learning, this is the third stage. This is the “integration” stage. The students are integrating the chromatic scale with other musical components that they have already learned.
