Every Voice Will Praise Him trumpet quartet is an intermediate trumpet ensemble with a catchy melody and intriguing harmonies.

Like most of my compositions, even those I write for beginners and early students, the original melody for Every Voice Will Praise Him was recorded as an inspiration. In my composition system, an inspiration is an idea that comes to mind without any effort. I don’t try to have these ideas, they just appear in my mind

I consider these inspirations to be gifts from God. I have many of these inspirations written and stored. I pull them out when I need material to work with.

Trumpet Tyro Skill Level

The most obvious aspect of the Trumpet Tyro Skill Level is that the highest note is written fourth space E. This skill level has other limitations which include simplified key signatures, easy time signatures and simple rhythms.

Every Voice Will Praise Him trumpet quartet does utilize four note harmonies, which is something you don’t commonly see in compositions for this skill level. I’ve done it before with a few different trumpet quartets, but I’ve not seen a lot of that outside of the music that I’ve published myself.

I like to include four note harmonies with my students because I believe they need to be exposed to those sounds. They need to hear the sounds and start learning to tune those sounds now! I don’t want them to wait.

I would like to point out that the pieces I compose for each of the skill levels is categorized according to what students at this level can perform confidently IF THEY PRACTICE. My compositions are typically not sight readable for students at the marked skill level.

Practice Suggestions
