Play-Along Files for Trumpet Hymn Duets
This product is a downloadable ZIP file containing 42 MP3 files. These are trumpet play-along files that work with the Trumpet Hymn Duets book. Each duet has two play-along files, one is a recording of only the first trumpet part, the other is a recording of only the second trumpet part.
These trumpet play-along files allow you to use the Trumpet Hymn Duets book, even if you don’t have anyone to use it with.

Play-Along Conventions
When I first began this project, people suggested that I should make recordings for which they could shift the balance left or right in order to emphasize first or second part. That’s how a lot of the older play-along recordings used to work, but I don’t think that works today. A lot of music players don’t even have “balance” knobs.
Instead, I decided to take a track per part approach. This also allows me to add click tracks (metronome clicks) in sections of the recording where they are needed.
Generally speaking, if the current part needs a count off, there will typically be two measures of count off before the play-along begins. There are some exceptions and I hope I did a good job of making sure those exceptions make sense.
