PLEASE NOTE: Before I share any more about this MP3 album, let me make it perfectly clear that this is a play-along album, not a listening album. I mention this here and now because I have gotten negative comments on some of my play-along videos. A “dissatisfied customer” complained that she didn’t like me recordings because the melodies were so obscure that you could never hear the hymns. But she was commenting on the second trumpet part of a play-along.
As stated above, this is an album of play-along recordings to be used with my Trumpet Christmas Duets book. This album is of no use without the book.
Music Minus One Style
I present these play-along recordings in the style of Music Minus One, meaning that the part you are playing is missing from the recording. If you are playing the first trumpet part, then all you will hear in the play-along recording is the second trumpet part.
The album has play-alongs for both parts. The files are labeled according to the part that’s in the recording. If you are playing first trumpet on Away in a Manger, then you play-along with the MP3 labeled “Away in a Manger (Trumpet 2)”.
