We are posting this because someone asked for it. With only a few exceptions, we have not been selling the sheet music from Eddie’s Unadorned Trumpet Hymn recordings. But every once in a while someone will ask for the music and we make it available.
What people are looking for, specifically, is Eddie’s second trumpet part. The hymn melodies are easy to find online, but Eddie’s harmony parts are his original arrangements. Eddie has a unique approach to harmonizing the hymns that makes them sound better than just playing the traditional alto parts.
By the time Eddie recorded What a Friend We Have in Jesus as part of his Unadorned Trumpet Hymn video series, he had already written and recorded over two hundred of these Unadorned Trumpet Hymns. We are gearing up for the release of his fourth Unadorned Trumpet Hymn album. Each album has 49 recordings on it. His arrangement of What a Friend We Have in Jesus is most definitely going to be on that album.
