And Eat it, Too is a trumpet trio composition in the cake walk style. Cake walk was a popular music style from the early twentieth century. It’s a little jazzy, but it’s not swung. The piece is meant for intermediate players at a skill level that is consistent with high school trumpet players.

Eddie Lewis wrote this composition to add some happiness to the trumpet trio repertoire. He and some of his students have performed it a few times and the audiences always love it. And so do the musicians.
